Leo:.. Regarding the 4/10 press conference, Uhig said something interesting when the question was asked how Martin was found face down . He said something like (paraphrase) " It doesn't take rocket scientists to figure it out , he was shot an leaned forward............" .

I having problems on the web trying to find the text of the entire press conference ..Uhig appeared to imply that Martin was standing when shot . Yes/No ?

This is truly a tragic story. And why we need the Affordable Care Act. It is unconscionable that we would let the elderly get into a position where they would even contemplate this. And it is a disgrace that we have a system that cannot care for those who have previously taken care of us.

We had an elderly couple here in town perform a double suicide because they were no longer able to afford the medication they needed to survive on a daily basis. Their son was travelling to Mexico to get their meds for some time, but they felt they were a burden to him. They had already sold their home they worked all their lives for, and were living in a small apartment. This case has bothered me since I read it, and the son said it was due to the law that Bush put into place prior to leaving office that put a cap on how much would be given to the elderly for their medications. Why the elderly continue to vote Repulican is beyond me. They pay 25% of the cost up to $2700 and then have to pay the full cost up to $4350 before the Medicare kicks in again. So the difference alone, not counting the 25% is already $1650. The poor people couldn't afford it times two let alone just for one of them:( How can anyone?

Leo :.. Good article ( with up-dates ) . I'm with the notion, that Zimmerman already had his gun out when he made contact with Martin . I feel he pushed Martin off the walk path or Martin backed away by the sight of his gun pointed at him onto the grass . I feel Martin made lunge and got a piece of it and they wrestled as Martin yelled for help, but was overpowered due to the arm strength of Zimmerman . Bang !!

I feel, that Zimmerman rolled Martin on to his face so if still alive, he would have asphyxiation due to the lack of oxygen combined with a chest shot . Zimmerman did absolutely no first aid .Keep in mind Martin's hands were found underneath him, face down .

I feel Zimmerman hit himself with his own gun on his head and face to give credence to his story .. He also refused to go to the emergency hospital to perform a full documented medical evaluation . For someone to have their head repeatedly bashed against a concrete surface, I would expect the injuries on the nuchal crest meets the occipital bone which projects out further and not near the the top of his skull as the video indicates .He did see his doctor a day or two later but most would want his health card and not question his injuries which gave ample time to re-injure the same location before he saw his own doctor . I don't believe grass can cause such injuries to his rear head .

Trayvon's attorneys have confirmed on CNN that they actually have the phone records in their possession. Their call between Trayvon and his girlfriend begin at 7:12 pm and ended at 7:16 pm. The first shot has not been confirmed...it is only my theory..based on the echo heard by the witnesses. The girlfriend's conversation (it has been confirmed by the phone records in the possesion of Trayvon's attorneys), has said that someone actually pushed Trayvon first and then an altercation ensued (Trayvon was from Carol City/Miami...I think he would less likely run from an attacker)...therefore, we know that Trayvon could not have been the aggressor (he did not have any motive to attack Zimmerman...he was returning from the store and talking on his cell phone to his girlfriend). The key piece is that Zimmerman informed his father, brother, and others (all this information is hearsay and inadmissable in court because they did not hear or see the incident) that Trayvon was banging his head on the concrete for almost one minute and threatened to kill him with his gun (how did Trayvon know that he had a gun on him???) before he shot him. This REALLY punches holes in his timeline. Was there a concrete pavement where Trayvon's body was found? or Was the concrete pavement near his Zimmerman's truck/mailbox area?

This is fairly close to what I've describes, but there are a couple of things I need to point out.

First, I have not used any of the girlfriend's descriptions as there is no official record of it yet. But we do know the timing from her call, which has been verified.

Also, there is no evidence of two shots being fired, at least not yet. There have been some reports that there might have been two shots, but those same individuals say it may have been an echo.

I do believe Zimmerman tried to restrain Martin, and that a scuffle ensued. And that once underway, Zimmerman felt he was losing the fight, and pulled his gun. But the rest of the timeline does not support his story.

Zimmerman's father has indicated that Trayvon beat his head against the concrete for almost one minute. The 911 call ended at 7:15 pm, Trayvons call with his girlfriend ended at 7:16 (she heard the altercation and someone slap the phone and it went dead at 7:16 pm..this can be verified by their cell phone records) and the police arrived at 7:17 (Trayvon was already dead). So to believe Mr. Zimmermans story all this happened in about one minute: He lost sight of Martin, hung up his phone, while on the phone with his girlfriend – made the choice to turn around and head back to approach Zimmerman (near his truck), hitting him, knocking him down, getting on top of him (Zimmerman's father and brother was told by Zimmerman that Trayvon beat his head against the concrete for about one minute), Trayvon struggling for Zimmerman’s gun (how did Tryavon see his gun? unless it was already drawn...), and ending with Trayvon being shot (in the middle of his chest were police officer are trained to shoot a person that is a serious threat to harm or kill them or others). The fight started near the truck/concrete area and ended in the grassy area some 200 feet away (Trayvon did not even have a scratch on his body..the undertaker viewed his entire body). Is Zimmerman going to stick with this story..or Is he going to changed it to meet the one minute timeline?

I think what really happened is that Trayvon (a kid from Coral City..a VERY tough area in Miami) actually "stood his ground" when he was followed, stopped, and pushed (Trayvon's girlfriend indicated that he refused to run home when he noticed that he was being followed ...Zimmerman's 911 call will corrobrate this theory... and she heard Trayvon indicate that he was being pushed by a stranger over the cell phone before the cell phone was hit by the stranger and the call ended at 7:16...after a brief altecation in the grassy area (Zimmerman may have suffered some injuries because Trayvon who was 6'2' and Zimmerman 5'8'' may have grabbed his head in a head lock) ...Zimmerman wrested him down and got on top on Trayvon...pulled his gun out...Trayvon begins to scream for help as he realizes this is very serious now...Zimmerman shoots a round in the air to place even more fear in this innocent child (Trayvon begins to scream for help)...now Zimmerman...the neighbor WATCH CAPTAIN realizes that he is in serious trouble since Trayvon can possibly send him to PRISON for attempted murder by discharging his weapon after starting a fight with the innocent teenager...Zimmerman loses his mind and his fake police training kicks in..he places the gun on Trayvon's chest (Zimmerman calls him a f...king COON it can be heard from one the the 911 calls placed after one of the neighbors heard Trayvon first screams for help)... and he shoots Trayvon in the center of his chest to silence the screams for help (that also supports the theory why Zimmerman did not have any blood on him) ...Trayvon grabs his chests and rolls over to prevent him from shooting him again and an places his hands on his chest or under his body...the position the police and neighbors found him.. Zimmerman gets up an grabs his head (like I messed up) as he realizes that he could spend the rest of his life in prison for his actions (a neighbor witnessed him getting up off of Trayvon's body and grabbing his head). Another witness saw Zimmerman after he got up and noticed he was grabbing head (like I messed up). Zimmerman decides to make up his self-defense claim (he is shocked when the police accept it). the led police officer wants to arrested him because it does not fit the timeline of about a minute, but is overruled by his superior officer (Zimmerman's father is a former judge in Virginia and he is the neighbor watch captain in the community in the neighbor where the felonious crime occurs).

we have serious problems with the healthcare system. ACA is not the cure-all, but it;s a damned sight better than what we have. It simply amazes me that it is attacked from both the left and the right. I can actually understand the right - they want it provatized so it can be turned into an even bigger profit center.

But the left? They bash it because it wasn't perfect. Gimme a break. They can't explain how in hell they would have gotten their "perfect" version to pass when the less than perfect version nearly didn't.

Fantastic! And I will keep good intentions for you. (I am too mostly(?) agnostic. I'd just like to add one tiny thing, re healthcare. (I also have a heart problem, arrhythmia, and it has been destroying my life in myriad ways.) When and if we decide that everyone, citizen residents (as in the UK) or just plain everyone (as in Thailand) should have health care, then let's do it in a way that isn't so godd@m difficult for the people who are sick and suffering. After all, isn't this just blaming/punishing the victim? How will you feel when it's you? Simple. AND (sorry), why would I want to go to a foreign land and die "for my country" when my country won't even well provide decent care for my poor elderly mother? Police/fire widow's/widowers, too.

Great piece pointing to ignorance as ignorance, be it right or left. Refusal to acknowledge facts AND refusal to make every effort to test their validity is destructive to self and society at large. Facts are relative. It may sound like a contradiction, but we all know examples. What is true today may be replaced tomorrow as times and access to information changes. Too bad so many refuse to admit change is not intrinsically bad.
